Happy Easter!

Da got me up early again this morning. I thought weekends were for sleeping in? Apparently my Momma and Da missed this memo. Once my eyes were good and opened, I saw what was going on. The Easter Bunny came last night! Woohoo. He must have thought I smiled pretty good yesterday or he wouldn't have come to leave me a treat! I was so excited to see all of my goodies. Not only some toys but a real live chick. It chirps and chirps! I really wanted to just squeeze her to death. She is so itty bitty and Momma says we have to be gentle. Right now little miss chick chick is living in the garage. It is nice and warm in there and she seems to like her crib. It looks just like a box that we get stuff in from the FedEx man. Every time I go outside I try to jump out of my momma/da's arms to check little miss chick chick out. She is too cute.

We went to church really early this morning at 8am. I was the only toddler in the nursery and I really was spoiled. The couple that watched me just walked me around the church all morning. I had lots of fun but boy was I glad to see my Momma and Da again! I always know they are coming back to get me so I am really good when they leave. The nursery lady kept saying, "you are such a sweet boy"! All I can say is, I try!

I hope the Easter bunny came to see you and that you have a very blessed Easter!

Love,
Wy

"Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!"

Busy Saturday

I had a full day yesterday playing with friends and visiting family.

Da woke me up so early yesterday morning to go to Memphis. It was my friends Madyson and Maya's birthday party. They came all the way from Houston to celebrate and we had such fun! They had these really big blow up play sets and I loved sliding down! I hated that we had to leave but Momma wanted me to get a picture with the Easter Bunny and see the King's.

We went to the shopping mall to visit the bunny. He was really big and furry and his teeth were so funny. I couldn't quit looking at him. Momma said I didn't give a very good smile for the camera but I couldn't help it. I was really concentrating to figure it all out.

We went to Cravin' Catfish for Easter with my Da's whole side of the family. It was really good. I liked my first piece of catfish but I loved the sweet potato casserole. I had a good time visiting with my tousins (that is how Chance tells me to say it).

I got in bed early.

DOCTORS

Whew, what a day.

This morning Momma and I headed to Memphis to see Dr. G for my 15 month check up. Her nurses are so nice so I really do not mind seeing them. I had a good visit for the most part. Dr. G was really happy that I was following a growth curve. I really don't know what all that means but Momma says I fell off the curve a while back and now I am at least at the 25%! That is great they say. I weigh 20.15 lbs, 31.5 inches tall and my head has grown! Yipee for me!

Dr. G was a little concerned with my legs and wanted a to get a pediatric orthopedic Dr. to look at me. She worked her magic, again, and got us right in to see Dr. S. It was my first time to Campbells clinic but mommy has been there several times she says. We waited and waited and waited. My Lala got to go with us. It is a good thing she did because momma would have never been able to keep up with. I had so much energy, even without a nap! We waited for nearly two hours. Finally they took me to another room that had big metal machines. They call it the x-ray room. The lady was pulling my hand all over the place and I did not like it one bit. I started playing a game with her. She would put my hand exactly where she wanted it and then run to a button. As soon as she got to the button I would jerk my hand away. It was so fun for me but stressful for my Momma. Then Lala saved the day with a SUCKER! My very first sucker...a blue raspberry! It was so yummy. I just did so well then. Whatever they wanted me to do, I did, as long as that sucker was spinning in my mouth!

Dr. S. said I was just fine from his perspective. All my bones and joints are forming perfectly for a 15 month old. He told me to keep trying to walk and some progress was better than none! I am going to probably be stubborn for a little bit longer then I might walk all by myself!

I am a really lucky boy to have such nice doctors. I know they really care about me!

When we were walking out of the clinic I saw a momma duck and her ducklings. There must have been a dozen of them. They were so cute. They were waddling right behind momma duck trying to find water. Momma duck was not being nice because she kept making the babies jump the curb. It was really hard for me. My Momma put me in the car and we blocked the road so the duckies wouldn't get hit! I really wanted one for Easter but Momma said NO!

much love from a sleepy boy,

Play. Play. Play.

Hi, it's me again, Wy.

I have had a super busy day. I woke up at 7 am ready to play. My Da was getting ready for work so he put me in bed with Momma. I just love getting right in her face and say "hey" while trying to pry her eyes open. Its really funny.

Today, I got to play with Mrs. Sally again. She is so funny but sometimes she makes me do things I don't like. She is always making me crouch down and open my right hand. I sometimes forget she is being ugly when she has really fun stuff to play with. I think my favorite part of play time with Mrs. Sally is this huge red ball. It is a hoot. We stand on it, we sit on it, I lay on it and she rolls it all around. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you who was at therapy today...My DA! I love having him there.

I gotta go, Momma keeps talking about nap time. I just hope I don't get all tangled up again. :)

Well, Hello!

WOW! I can't believe ya'll actually like to read all about me! I guess by now you know the basics. You know I am a very speedy crawler, a really dislike milk, I give the best hugs and kisses, and the biggest blessing to my Momma and Da! Enough with the boring stuff and on the to the fun. Yesterday, my Momma and Da took me to have pictures made. We went to the "studio in the woods" and I met some really nice people. They were about my Lala and Barbees age and they got so excited when they saw me. I don't know why everyone talks about me smiling so much. When I was meeting the new people, you will never believe what I heard....."BAAAA". I nearly jumped out of my Da's arms. It made me so happy to hear that noise. When Mr. photographer opened the door, the cutest little lamb I had ever seen came running out (actually the only lamb I had ever seen). It was black and white with a pink bow around its neck. I couldn't wait to get down and play. When I finally got my Da to put me down, that silly lamb tee teed all over the floor. Everyone was laughing and saying, "uh oh". I think they forgot to put her diaper on. Not only did I get to meet a lamb, but I also got to play with baby rabbits. They were so cute too! I really liked when they put the bunny on my chair and I got to grab his ears. I was trying so hard to pick that bunny up by his ears so I could love on him. Momma kept saying, "NO NO wy, be gentle". Maybe when my pictures come in I can put a few up. Everyone was oohing and ahhing over them, they think I am so cute. More fun to come, W

A New Twist

W has taken over everything in the King home. So, why not the blog? Yep, he will be the new writer. Get ready...

Tweet Tweet

I missed the kodak moment of just the blue eggs, but we now have 5 baby blue birds at the King home. I am working on getting W to say "tweet, tweet" but it is a far fetch considering he has only perfected "Da" and "HEY".

Caught in a pickle

I put W down for his normal afternoon nap. He was playing very softly and then I hear the "I am about to die" cry. I could tell something really hurt him. He was in a panic and that really put me in a panic. I flew to his room with all kinds of thoughts running through my head. Did a snake attack him (thanks to the Cravens)? Did he fall out? You can imagine. When I finally arrived in his room approximately 4 seconds later, I found this...

My first thought was...WHERE IS MY CAMERA! I know I am a terrible mom. I left my child tangled and screaming while I ran to find my camera and snap photographs. If he would just lay down and go to sleep this would have never happened!

Therapy Time!

Another day with Mrs. Sally proved to be a challenge. Little man has decided he wants to do anything but what Mrs. Sally wants to do. I think this is what they call, INDEPENDENCE! He did get some accomplished and did really well standing flat footed with assist. Woohoo Wyatt!

Easter Egg Hunt #2

Our neighborhood Easter Egg hunt was today at Rowan Oak. It was a perfect late afternoon treat. Wy and I got there early to hide eggs for all of the older kids. We had so much fun. Wy especially loved shaking the eggs with jelly beans. Next year will be a whole new ballgame for the Kings. I don't think that W will be as content relaxing in his stroller watching all the kids run by.

Easter Egg Hunt #1

Wyatt went to his first egg hunt today at the Ennis Farm! We had a wonderful time seeing Mary. Wyatt spent his entire egg hunt in someones arms. He was pretty content. Next year will be a different story. We are keeping it simple while we can! :)
As you can tell little man hasn't missed a beat with his Maywe living in Austin. He felt right at home in her arms!

Thanks for having us Mrs. Gina and Mary!

A Morning of Relaxation

We had some special visitors a few weekends ago and wanted to pull some baby things out to make the stay a little easier for them. All moms know how nerve-racking it can be going to someone elses home with a 4 month old. Gabi did great though and we really enjoyed having her! One of the objects we dug out was W's bouncy seat. He loved it as a newborn, kinda liked it as a 6 month old and hated it as a 7 month old. Here we are at 15 months and he is back in love. He can lounge, he can climb, he can bounce and he really makes Momma a nervous wreck!

Therapy Tidbits

Little man had a "not so productive" therapy session today...It happens. He did happen to LOVE this exercise. Not much but just a little Monday happy.
