Wyatt's first haircut

We set out early this morning for breakfast at Cracker Barrel and then headed to get my very first haircut. I was such a good boy and sat very still in my Daddy's lap. Mr. Don of Don and Dales really fixed me up! Momma can't get over how big I look!

Halloween 2011

It was another spooky Halloween in Oxford for me and my friends. This year, I was a monster. Not a scary monster but a really cute monster! Mommy loved my costume.

My Halloween started off with a party at school and I had so much fun. Mommy was there t
o party with us and I had the best time digging into the iced cookie and making a huge mess! It was fun to see my friends in all of their costumes.
Mommy and Daddy got my special pumpkins carved and I was so proud. They were just for me!

Once the moon came out, my friends Jack and Witt came over dressed as Dinosaurs and we got to go Trick or Treating. It was really fun getting candy and eating it right away! I learned very quick that I love sweets!
I hope you had a spooktacular Halloween as well!

Big Talker

I guess you can say I gave up on my game. I use to think it was so funny to not say anything anyone asked me to say. This game was even more fun when my speech therapist would leave. As soon as she shut the door I would always say, "BYE", but I was a mute the whole time she was there! I have picked up on the fact that it is much more fun to talk and use my words. It is amazing. Every time I say, "Eat" I actually get something to eat! I love it! Here are some of my words that I like to use:

Hey
Bye
Eat
Drink
Momma
Da
Cat
Dog
Duck
Ball
Stick
No
Move
Play
Bath
Night Night

Maybe if Momma is quick enough she can get some video footage!

Lions, Tigers and Bears...Oh My!

Today, we went to the Memphis Zoo and it was a lot of fun. I got most excited about things that were NOT animals. I don't understand what is so great about a fat cat that sleeps in the corner all day. I got to attend the Seal show and it was a lot of fun. Those seals are so smart and did exactly as told.

It was a great day with my Momma, Dada, and Lala!

Football Time In Mississippi..

All I hear about is Ole Miss this and Ole Miss that. It was about time my Momma and Dada show me what all this talk is about. I got to go to the Ole Miss practice game a few weeks ago and it was so fun. I loved people watching (thanks Momma) and trying to spot the ball. I was such a good boy that I might get to go back to another game this year. Hotty Toddy!

Mothers Morning Out

Today, was my first day at Mothers Morning Out. Momma had been talking it up for a couple of days telling me I was going to get to play with lots of new friends. It sounded like so much fun but I was wondering why she was stressing out! We went to meet my teachers, Mrs. E and Mrs. T last night. I was running all around and could not wait to get back! This morning Momma got me up and ready for my big day and put my back pack on...I felt like such a big boy!
Once we got to the carpool line, the teachers came to Mommas car and got me out! I was so excited. I told Momma bye and never looked back.

I had so much fun today playing outside, learning about me, dancing and singing!

Walking

Its official as of August 5th that I have finally mastered WALKING! I see things a whole new way now. Once I figured out how to stand up on my own, I started walking and I never looked back. My Orthopedic doctor and Neurologist were so excited for me and I was really showing my new skill off! They didn't expect me to walk before I was two but I surprised them! My momma and Dada are really happy for me too. The say that I really wear them out now because I can move so quick and quietly! So you better watch out...I am a walking machine!

Pictures to come!

Allergies

Eggs
Dogs
Peanuts

Momma tells me I can not have any more peanuts or anything that comes in contact with a nut. Dr. V is my allergist and he ran some blood test last week to check for allergies. These are the three that were positive. I can still eat egg, I just have to be very careful and Momma has to watch me. No more puppy love for me either. I am really going to miss loving on those puppies. I am going to try to be a really good boy!

Let Freedom Ring..

I'm so sorry to be so tardy. I have been a busy boy.

Fourth of July has come and gone and I never got to write about my adventure. Momma and Dada were off all week and we had so much fun playing around the house. We went to a cookout at my Aunt Margaret and Uncle Jays on Saturday. As usual, I enjoyed playing my cousins.

Sunday we went to early church and then we made the trip to Batesville for Cracker Barrel. It was a great all-American breakfast.

Monday, the actual fourth, we went to the Grove for a petting zoo and some music. I loved all the animals. I met a goat, a sheep, a lamb, a donkey, a llama and a ton of yucky turtles. After the grove we went to the baseball stadium to watch fireworks. I really liked them once I got use to the noise. Hope your fourth was filled lots of family and fireworks.

Milkshakes!

It makes my day when my momma takes me to sonic for a milkshake. They are so yummy and the perfect summer treat! Vanilla is my favorite. I really like to play with the straw and throw my shake all over mommas clean floors. I usually end up in my bed without a passi for timeout.

What is the Trick?

Obviously, Momma has not found it.

I have a terrible case of eczema all over my body. It has really stressed my momma and dada out. They keep putting all kinds of products all over my body. Sometimes it helps sometimes it doesn't. I do know when they don't put anything on me, I start to itch very badly. I have even scratched my wrist so much it has split open. The best relief is when I get in my high chair or carseat and I can scratch away on the strap.

Momma is so desperate, if anyone suggest a product might work, she runs to buy it.

Take a look at my personal closet of creams.
Any more suggestions? I am sure Momma would love them.

Scritch, scratch.....Wy

MRI

Today, I had my very first MRI and hopefully my last.

Momma and Dada woke me up super early and we went downtown. I was so happy in the car because they were not forcing me to drink one thing. I should have known it was all too good to be true. Once we got there we were shuffled around and I got to see some really neat artwork and statues. It was so fun. We were put back in a room and they put this cute green gown on me. Momma said she wore one that was yellow when she was a kid. Momma and Dada were kinda emotional while we were in the room and I was perfectly happy.

Then it came time for the MRI. Momma carried me back to this room with a really big machine. They laid me down on the table and then slapped this mask on my face. I was screaming and before I knew it I was in lala land. . .literally, I was probably dreaming about playing with my Lala. The very next thing I knew, I was in Mommas arms and I was swinging arms all around. They had a cuff on my leg checking my blood pressure and an IV in my hand with IV fluids going. My mouth was so dry I could hardly make a sound. The nurse was telling Momma all about the tube they put in my mouth to help me breathe. It is a good thing I got some good medicine to sleep. I don't know why there was so much fuss, because I did just fine. Momma and Dada gave me such tight squeezes when I got back. I was just as proud to be back with them as they were to have me back!

Thanks for praying for me today.

Hot Hot Hot

This is how I am staying cool this summer..
By swimming every time Momma lets me. I really love the big pool but it kinda makes Momma nervous, so the baby pool it is. I think the reason Momma gets so nervous is because I LOVE putting my head in the water. She always says "No No Wyatt get your face up". I do pretty good holding my breath but sometimes I get confused and take a big gulp of sunscreen tainted water. YUCKY.
Hope you are having a good summer and swimming lots too!

Memorial Day Weekend

Did you miss me?

I think Momma forgot that I am suppose to be the "blogger" and made that last post. It's okay she was just helping me out.

We had a good Memorial Day yesterday, did you? We spent the day with My Babee and Papaw eating some really good food. Then we came home for a quick nap, which I never took, before the Cravens came to play. I get so excited when I see my friend Jack. We had so much fun in my little pool splashing. Sometimes, I think my Dada thinks he is a kid. He jumped right in with us. He is a pretty funny guy.

I like to pick all of the blueberries out first.

We went for a quick wagon ride to give Momma a break.

I am thankful for Memorial Day because I can learn all about the people that have fought to keep us free, Especially my Grandpa Wyatt. He was a Marine and from what they say a very strong man with a gentle heart.

Speech

(sorry we have been missing for a while, we were experience technical difficulties with the computer. We are live now from a new MacBook Pro! :)

Today, we had therapy with Ms. Johnie, Wy's speech therapist. She
has so much personality and we really like her. Wy thinks she is pretty funny and is getting more comfortable with her. Today he barked like a dog, moo'ed like a cow and attempted to neigh like a horse. This is huge improvement for him. He is now saying, Hey, Da, bye, attempting Momma, and his animal noises. I will try to get some video footage of this.

Meet Ms. Johnie...

Happy Mothers Day

What a busy weekend! Yesterday we celebrated Mothers Day a little early with my Ba-Bee. She wanted to go eat at Phillips Grocery, so that is where we headed. It was so fun eating outside watching the cars drive by. I even got a little excited and spilt my Ba-Bee's tea all over her. UhOh!

This morning we went to early church and I got to play in the nursery again. I really like exploring around in there. After church we went to Memphis to celebrate with my Lala. We had a really nice lunch at The Grove Grill where I had to be on my best behavior. I also got to visit my Great Grandparents for a little bit and had a really fun time with them.

I have been busy giving Momma hugs and kisses all day since this is her day. I hope that you had a good Mothers Day too!

loving my Momma,

Poison Control.

Spit. Spat. Ugh.

Yep, its me, still trying to get silica out of my mouth. You read that right. I don't know why I thought it was a good idea at the time but it really wasn't. That little package was just my size and it went smoothly in my mouth. I was ready to chew on some good stuff and all I got was some grit that turned gooey. I started gagging and Momma ran in as fast as she could. She grabbed me up and said, "Wy what is in your MOUTH?" Then she stuck her big hand in scooping as much out. I could tell she was really panicing. She rinsed my mouth out with water at the sink all while calling my Da. She was yelling, "COME HOME! Wy ate silica and I gotta call poison control". She was really nervous. She kept saying, "you are soo bad". I really didn't mean to cause any harm. She finally found poison controls number and the really nice man acted like this happened all the time. He told her I would be just fine that silica is not toxic just a choking hazard. He isn't playing either, that stuf was YUCKY and really did make me gag. My Da caming flying in the door and Momma said, "He is fine, poison control said it wouldn't hurt him". He made a really loud sigh and said, "Little man, you are killing me"! I had to give Momma lots of hugs today to make up for that act of badness!

Moments later....I am ust fine

The Most Relaxing Time

Everyone in my house takes a big sigh of relief when I go down to take a nap. I think that my momma and da forget that I play in my crib and I can over hear what they say. I almost always hear, "Whew!" I think that it must wear them out when I am up and playing. I cannot help that I love to explore things by chewing, climbing, lunging from furniture to furniture and sneaking behind the couch. If they would just let me be everything would be perfect...until I got hurt.

My Momma always has pictures of me when I am asleep. She giggles at the many places/ways she finds me napping. I love to play in my crib and I just fall asleep all over the place.

When I am not climbing...

Chewing....

sneaking off...

digging in drawer....
or in the dishwasher....
I am snoozing really good!

Rough Riding..

Momma and I went to visit my Da working at my Great Grannys house this afternoon. It was really loud and dusty as they were cutting and placing the sheetrock. My cousin, Chance was there with his 4-wheeler. He was so nice and let me ride on it with him. He went really slow and took the turns with ease, or not! My momma was a little nervous and kept running after us. We just thought it was so fun.

I have officially perfected the sarcastic smile!

Happy Easter!

Da got me up early again this morning. I thought weekends were for sleeping in? Apparently my Momma and Da missed this memo. Once my eyes were good and opened, I saw what was going on. The Easter Bunny came last night! Woohoo. He must have thought I smiled pretty good yesterday or he wouldn't have come to leave me a treat! I was so excited to see all of my goodies. Not only some toys but a real live chick. It chirps and chirps! I really wanted to just squeeze her to death. She is so itty bitty and Momma says we have to be gentle. Right now little miss chick chick is living in the garage. It is nice and warm in there and she seems to like her crib. It looks just like a box that we get stuff in from the FedEx man. Every time I go outside I try to jump out of my momma/da's arms to check little miss chick chick out. She is too cute.

We went to church really early this morning at 8am. I was the only toddler in the nursery and I really was spoiled. The couple that watched me just walked me around the church all morning. I had lots of fun but boy was I glad to see my Momma and Da again! I always know they are coming back to get me so I am really good when they leave. The nursery lady kept saying, "you are such a sweet boy"! All I can say is, I try!

I hope the Easter bunny came to see you and that you have a very blessed Easter!

Love,
Wy

"Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!"

Busy Saturday

I had a full day yesterday playing with friends and visiting family.

Da woke me up so early yesterday morning to go to Memphis. It was my friends Madyson and Maya's birthday party. They came all the way from Houston to celebrate and we had such fun! They had these really big blow up play sets and I loved sliding down! I hated that we had to leave but Momma wanted me to get a picture with the Easter Bunny and see the King's.

We went to the shopping mall to visit the bunny. He was really big and furry and his teeth were so funny. I couldn't quit looking at him. Momma said I didn't give a very good smile for the camera but I couldn't help it. I was really concentrating to figure it all out.

We went to Cravin' Catfish for Easter with my Da's whole side of the family. It was really good. I liked my first piece of catfish but I loved the sweet potato casserole. I had a good time visiting with my tousins (that is how Chance tells me to say it).

I got in bed early.

DOCTORS

Whew, what a day.

This morning Momma and I headed to Memphis to see Dr. G for my 15 month check up. Her nurses are so nice so I really do not mind seeing them. I had a good visit for the most part. Dr. G was really happy that I was following a growth curve. I really don't know what all that means but Momma says I fell off the curve a while back and now I am at least at the 25%! That is great they say. I weigh 20.15 lbs, 31.5 inches tall and my head has grown! Yipee for me!

Dr. G was a little concerned with my legs and wanted a to get a pediatric orthopedic Dr. to look at me. She worked her magic, again, and got us right in to see Dr. S. It was my first time to Campbells clinic but mommy has been there several times she says. We waited and waited and waited. My Lala got to go with us. It is a good thing she did because momma would have never been able to keep up with. I had so much energy, even without a nap! We waited for nearly two hours. Finally they took me to another room that had big metal machines. They call it the x-ray room. The lady was pulling my hand all over the place and I did not like it one bit. I started playing a game with her. She would put my hand exactly where she wanted it and then run to a button. As soon as she got to the button I would jerk my hand away. It was so fun for me but stressful for my Momma. Then Lala saved the day with a SUCKER! My very first sucker...a blue raspberry! It was so yummy. I just did so well then. Whatever they wanted me to do, I did, as long as that sucker was spinning in my mouth!

Dr. S. said I was just fine from his perspective. All my bones and joints are forming perfectly for a 15 month old. He told me to keep trying to walk and some progress was better than none! I am going to probably be stubborn for a little bit longer then I might walk all by myself!

I am a really lucky boy to have such nice doctors. I know they really care about me!

When we were walking out of the clinic I saw a momma duck and her ducklings. There must have been a dozen of them. They were so cute. They were waddling right behind momma duck trying to find water. Momma duck was not being nice because she kept making the babies jump the curb. It was really hard for me. My Momma put me in the car and we blocked the road so the duckies wouldn't get hit! I really wanted one for Easter but Momma said NO!

much love from a sleepy boy,

Play. Play. Play.

Hi, it's me again, Wy.

I have had a super busy day. I woke up at 7 am ready to play. My Da was getting ready for work so he put me in bed with Momma. I just love getting right in her face and say "hey" while trying to pry her eyes open. Its really funny.

Today, I got to play with Mrs. Sally again. She is so funny but sometimes she makes me do things I don't like. She is always making me crouch down and open my right hand. I sometimes forget she is being ugly when she has really fun stuff to play with. I think my favorite part of play time with Mrs. Sally is this huge red ball. It is a hoot. We stand on it, we sit on it, I lay on it and she rolls it all around. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you who was at therapy today...My DA! I love having him there.

I gotta go, Momma keeps talking about nap time. I just hope I don't get all tangled up again. :)

Well, Hello!

WOW! I can't believe ya'll actually like to read all about me! I guess by now you know the basics. You know I am a very speedy crawler, a really dislike milk, I give the best hugs and kisses, and the biggest blessing to my Momma and Da! Enough with the boring stuff and on the to the fun. Yesterday, my Momma and Da took me to have pictures made. We went to the "studio in the woods" and I met some really nice people. They were about my Lala and Barbees age and they got so excited when they saw me. I don't know why everyone talks about me smiling so much. When I was meeting the new people, you will never believe what I heard....."BAAAA". I nearly jumped out of my Da's arms. It made me so happy to hear that noise. When Mr. photographer opened the door, the cutest little lamb I had ever seen came running out (actually the only lamb I had ever seen). It was black and white with a pink bow around its neck. I couldn't wait to get down and play. When I finally got my Da to put me down, that silly lamb tee teed all over the floor. Everyone was laughing and saying, "uh oh". I think they forgot to put her diaper on. Not only did I get to meet a lamb, but I also got to play with baby rabbits. They were so cute too! I really liked when they put the bunny on my chair and I got to grab his ears. I was trying so hard to pick that bunny up by his ears so I could love on him. Momma kept saying, "NO NO wy, be gentle". Maybe when my pictures come in I can put a few up. Everyone was oohing and ahhing over them, they think I am so cute. More fun to come, W

A New Twist

W has taken over everything in the King home. So, why not the blog? Yep, he will be the new writer. Get ready...

Tweet Tweet

I missed the kodak moment of just the blue eggs, but we now have 5 baby blue birds at the King home. I am working on getting W to say "tweet, tweet" but it is a far fetch considering he has only perfected "Da" and "HEY".
