One year ago....

On this very moment, one year ago, I was relaxing in a Brookstone massage chair! I am sure while I was sitting there with my very large belly anticipating the snow/ice predicted, longing for no bake cookies, I was also praying that one little boy would hurry up and make his grand entrance! and....

Blam! 1.5 hours later I was in my moms house eating a no bake cookie when it hit my like a stabbing knife! I think I pulled it together long enough to calmly tell my mom, "I think I am in labor. I am going to take a bath and then we might go to the hospital- no need to rush".
Fast forward 1 hour: "MOM, we need to go LIKE NOW".
Fast forward about 10 minutes: as mom drives BELOW the speed limit to Baptist Womens on I40...who drives the speed limit anyway? "MOM this is hurting and we need to get there NOW! "
**Zach is planning on going to our neighbors house in Oxford watching the National Championship football game**

Sign in to triage. Answer 40 questions that I ask people everyday when admitting, but this seemed like an eternity. The RN checks me and with a very cold heart says, "your 1 cm. we will call the dr and they will send you home". I demanded that she look at the toco monitor while I was having this significant pain to confirm I was having a contraction..."Yes ma'am you are but you are not progressing". At this point, I didn't care what happened but all I knew was she was NOT sending me home and I wanted to put my request in for the epidural, okay thanks! 15 minutes goes by and the not so friendly nurse returns with a more pronounce scowl on her face, "Dr. Sullivant is on call. He is admitting you.(haha to you and you non compassionate self) He said give you a percocet and ambien and he will induce in the am."

Somewhere in the middle of this chaos, Zach has been informed that he needs to come to Memphis because I was going to be having a baby at some point. He thought I was kidding until I informed him I was in the hospital and this was serious.s

hours 10p-7a to be continued.....
